Dr. Sunil Roy, Senior Director and Head of Quality Engineering at QuantumScape, is a global leader with over 15 years of expertise in lithium battery, semiconductor, and automotive industries. A PhD graduate from the University of Florida (ChemE, 2008), his career spans Intel, Philips Lumileds, and Applied Materials, focusing on advanced chip technology. Dr. Roy is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP, with deep expertise in quality and reliability engineering. His PhD on hydrogen fuel cells and lithium batteries resulted in 20+ peer-reviewed publications. He is the recipient of the H.H. Dow Memorial Achievement Award (2008) from the Electrochemical Society. As Chair of ASQ (American Society for Quality) Silicon Valley, he revitalized the section, fostering engagement among 2000+ members in the Bay Area.
