This scholarship honors the memory of Richard A. Freund, a past president of ASQ. It is for graduate study of the theory and application of quality control, quality assurance, quality improvement, and total quality management. ASQ Member Unit Scholarships
Member unit scholarships are administered by a subcommittee/committee that bears the name and report to Executive Committee of the unit. Scholarships are often specific to membership and/or region and vary in amount and criteria.
Many member units offer awards and scholarships to recognize members, leaders, and contributors to the quality profession; to give back within the community; and to raise the voice of quality.
