VSC is seeking local candidates to provide mechanical source inspection in San Jose, CA.

Frequency:         Up to 30 hours per week

Duration:             Approximately 12 months

Candidates are to:

 

  • Perform mechanical inspection using precision measuring devices at supplier’s facility to verify compliance to drawings, standards, specifications and other purchase order requirements.
  • Verify material certifications.
  • Inspect for obvious defects or damage.

ASQ Silicon Valley Futurist Update from new Section Futurist Ramesh Konda

Looking into the future and emerging topics in Quality is a continuous process to keep up with the ever growing market, technology, and customer expectations. ASQ Silicon Valley section is committed to help its members and quality community with this process. In order to formalize this activity, the section is forming a group called Futurist and Advisory group. The group will contain senior quality leaders and executives from Silicon Valley area with the following goals.

Vision: Provide ideas/advise about emerging topics in Quality to ASQ Silicon Valley section.

Mission: Create and maintain a functioning group of quality leaders/executives to discuss emerging topics and provide feedback to the ASQ SV section. The section leadership will consider the feedback to implement.

Deliverables:

1) The group will meet in person or via conference call once every other month to discuss the emerging needs and/or topics in Quality. Provide the notes to ASQ Silicon Valley section leadership.

2) The group member is willing to be a speaker/attendee at the monthly dinner meeting of ASQ SV section at least once in a year.

3) The Chair of this group will act as a liaison to ASQ Silicon Valley section leadership & provides updates.
