We are dedicating this meeting as a celebration to recognize the accomplishments of the section, those who have served as Chair of the section, and those who have been a member of ASQ for 20 years or longer.

Why should we do this? Quite simply, the more things change, the more they stay the same. It is by celebrating the wealth of experience that exists within our section that we can see what actions we need to take to address the needs of our section, our community, and our industries.

So come and enjoy the food and the company of your fellow ASQ members to celebrate 45 years of promoting Quality in the Bay Area.

SV ASQ will hold drawing each month for an online course worth $35. Introduction to Lean Six sigma Course Objectives:

Understand the scope and breadth of a Lean Six Sigma initiative.
Gain an understanding of what waste is and how to identify it so that it can be reduced.
Become aware of variation and techniques to reduce it.
Become familiar with the DMAIC team project model.
Be aware of the infrastructure needed to support a Lean Six Sigma effort.

Other small courses the winner can choose from:

Role of a Champion (1/2-credit)
Mapping Office Workflows (1/2-credit)
Lean Process Layouts (Micro-Mapping) (1/2-credit)
Value Streams (Macro-Mapping) (1/2-credit)

The name/email address drawn by the section program chair at the end of the event will be mailed to Govind Ramu who will set up the profile and provide access to the free training.
