Company: Xicom Technology Job Title: QA Manager Requisition Number: 08-012 Job Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Personally drives the company cross-functionally to meet its quality objectives. • Manages Quality Coordinator, Quality Control (QC) and Quality Engineering (QE) calibration functions. • Develops strong teams for C/A P/A reliability and major programs as required. • Manages team members’ effectiveness, job satisfaction, career development, performance evaluations, etc. • Explains company policies and regulations to subordinates, maintains effective personnel relationships, and recommends changes in employee status. • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key customers, including reports of quality and performance where warranted. Augments marketing activities with QA presentations as required. • Establishes, maintains and enforces effective cross functional departmental processes. • Continuous improvement of company’s quality system. • Manages the company-wide internal audit and spot check programs. • Leads the company’s corrective/preventive action program. • Leads the supplier quality management programs. • Performs other duties and responsibilities when required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Computer Skills and/or Tools: MS Office, MS Access or equivalent, Visio or equivalent. Qualifications/Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Knowledge in quality process controls, data analysis, supplier quality, and process improvement initiatives required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to lead and facilitate a team. • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (ratios, percentages). • Familiarity with Material Requirements & Planning (MRP) system. • Data Reporting. • Experience with ISO 9001 requirements. • Management experience in a manufacturing environment. • Strong analytical skills Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Science and three years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
