International Technological University Launches Training Program with American Society for Quality Silicon Valley Section
San Jose, CA – 1/15/2016: International Technological University (ITU) has partnered with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Silicon Valley Section, on a new training program designed to help students gain insight into project management and quality assurance. The new collaboration will bring new ASQ exam software to students, and introduce ASQ courses and certification preparation into the University’s curriculum. ITU President Dr. Greg O’Brien sees the new partnership as a great step forward for the University’s continued push to work more closely with the Silicon Valley community.

“The ASQ is a prestigious organization that offers coursework and certification in a variety of areas in management and software development. This partnership reinforces our growing reputation of excellence in the community,” said Dr. O’Brien.

ITU and ASQ Silicon Valley Section will offer on-campus courses as part of the program in late January. Courses offered will prepare students to take one of the many project management and quality assurance certificates provided by the ASQ. Working hand-in-hand with the ASQ, the University’s updated curriculum will provide in-depth coursework and training for students looking to become ASQ certified. As part of the partnership, ITU also becomes the primary Silicon Valley education center for the ASQ.

“ASQ Silicon Valley Section is pleased and excited to partner with ITU. We see this as part of our service to the community in quality education and look forward to expanding our programs in that arena in league with ITU, “ commented Marieann Shovlin, Section Marketing Chair.
